Founder of JM Language Solutions

Hello, I'm Janneke Mol, founder of JM Language Solutions.

For more than ten years, I have helped businesses, researchers and organisations communicate clearly and effectively through copywriting, translation, editing and research support.

What started as a one-person business has gradually grown into a team of language professionals. Today, I still lead the company and remain closely involved in every project, ensuring that our clients receive the same personal service and attention to detail that JM Language Solutions was built on.

From Groningen to Glasgow, and Beyond

I was born in the Netherlands but have spent much of my adult life abroad.

My journey first took me to Scotland, where I studied and worked for many years. Today, I live in Serbia with my children. Living between different countries, languages and cultures has shaped both my personal life and my professional approach.

It has also given me a deep appreciation for the power of language and the importance of communicating the right message to the right audience.

An Academic Foundation

My academic journey began with Journalism in the Netherlands, followed by English Language and Literature at the University of Groningen.

My passion for language eventually led me to the University of Glasgow, where I completed both a Master of Arts and a Master of Philosophy in English Language.

These studies provided a strong foundation in language, communication and research, skills that continue to inform my work every day.

Language as a Career and a Passion

Before founding JM Language Solutions, I worked in customer service and management, including helping to establish a new call centre operation in Belgrade.

I also worked at the University of Glasgow as a Dutch language tutor and translator.

Although I enjoyed these roles, writing and language remained my true passion. More than a decade ago, I decided to build my own business and focus on helping clients communicate more effectively through language.

Since then, I have worked with clients across a wide range of industries, producing content, translations, transcripts and research-related materials for audiences in different countries and sectors.

Building JM Language Solutions

For the first ten years, I ran JM Language Solutions entirely on my own.

As the business grew, so did the range of projects and client needs. Expanding the company was the natural next step.

Today, I work alongside other experienced language professionals who share the same commitment to quality, professionalism and personal service. Together, we are able to offer a broader range of services while maintaining the close client relationships that have always been central to the business.
